As an agent of Elephant Village tours, by booking a tour, you agree to the terms and conditions below.  If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, do not book a tour until you consult with EV management.  If you have questions, please contact:  elephantvillagelpq@gmail.com

Reservations:

All bookings must be submitted via our online booking form and confirmed via email by our reservation staff.  Our online reservation form is located at:  https://www.elephantvillage-laos.com/book-a-tour-all-agency

Payments:

Payment is due 7 days after receiving the issued invoice from the Elephant Village Accounting Department by bank transfer to the following US$ account.  In case of late payment, a late fee of 5% per month shall be applied.

Cancellations: 

All cancellations must be done by email to elephantvillagelpq@gmail.com and acknowleged by our staff by return email.  Our cancellation policy is:

• A 25% fee will apply to all cancellations.
• A 50% fee will apply to a cancellation between 24 and 48 hours before your tour pickup time.
• A 100% fee will apply to a cancellation within 24 hrs of your tour pickup time or if you no-show.

Cancellations fees are mandatory and shall be paid by you, the Agency.  We recommend you collect payment from your clients well before to the tour to cover any potential cancellation fees.

Child Policy:

• Children between 0 and 4 years old: free of charge and may not participate in Mahout Experience or elephant riding on the neck.
• Children between 5 and 8 years old: 50% discount if they share the same elephant with parents.  
• Children 9 years old or older are charged full price.
• For safety reasons, children under 5 years old and Children under 9 years old must be accompanied by an adult in order to participate in all activities.

Buffet Lunch:  

The lunch served at our camp is served buffet style and is very similar from day to day.  Your customers may eat as much as they like.  There are meat, salad and vegetarian options as well as fresh fruit for desert.  Water is provided but soft drinks or beer are purchased separately.

Important Notes:

    Our tours do not include insurance. Elephant Village shall not be held liable for any injury, loss or damage the client suffers during, or in connection with, any Elephant Village tours or activities.

    We pick up and drop off at hotels or guesthouses within Luang Prabang only. We do not pick up or drop off at bus stations or the airport.

    The Tad Sae Waterfall may be dry during dry season. We reserve the right to provide alternative activities in place of the waterfall activity during dry season.

    Elephant Village reserves the right to operate any tour or tour activities in a different order than is published on our website if conditions warrant.

    Elephant Village reserves the right to break larger groups into smaller groups if conditions warrant.

    NEVER pay our staff for your tour invoices. The only way to pay for your invoices is by bank transfer using the account number on your invoice.

    Elephant Village tours does not offer Elephant riding.

As an agent selling Elephant Village tours, I understand that activities with elephants, by their very nature, involve risks and dangers.  Our tours do NOT include insurance and my agency assumes all risks and responsibilities for my guests and DO NOT hold Elephant Village / Shangri-Lao, it’s owners, staff or management responsible whatsoever for any loss, injury or death to your guests’ person or property during their tour.  I am aware that i have the right to inspect any equipment used in the tour and participate in all activities voluntarily and at my own risk.  These terms and conditions apply to every person in the party.  By booking a tour, I agree with these terms and conditions.

1. Our Shangri Lao rooms are meant to accommodate two people. If one person is doing the tour alone and staying in a room alone, we will charge a single stay supplement of 30 USD.
2. Shangri Lao Resort have four rooms total: three double rooms and 1 twin room. It is possible to set up an extra bed in three of the double rooms with a charge of 20 USD.

Description:

Ideal for student groups traveling to Laos. Students have the opportunity to come up close and personal with the elephants while learning more about their plight. The tour includes visits to our elephant hospital where they will watch our elephant doctor performing a routine checkup on the elephants and the museum where they will learn tidbits of information.

Description:

Our most unique tour and one of the most unique tours in all of Luang Prabang! Take part in the interesting process of making paper out of elephant dung. You will also make a souvenir out of elephant dung to take home with you.

Notes:  This tour does NOT include bathing. Maximum of 10 pax/per day.

Itinerary:

 8:00am to 8:30am: Pick up by our English speaking guide at your hotel lobby within Luang Prabang, Laos

 Arrival at the Elephant Village Camp: Welcome greeting by your guide and participate in a short briefing about elephants

 Elephant Feeding: Get up close and personal with elephants.

 Tour camp: Visit our elephant museum and elephant hospital to learn more about the plight of elephants

 Collect Dung: Walk around the camp to collect elephant dung

 Learn About Dung: Learn why elephant dung makes good paper

 Process Dung: Wash the dung, boil it to kill off bacteria, use a thrashing machine to soften the dung

 Sun Dry Dung: Spread the softened dung on a rectangular screen and then lay it on a piece of cloth to dry

 Make Souvenir: Make a souvenir from dung paper to take home with you

 Lunch: Dine at our Shangri Lao restaurant. Buffet lunch served with coffee / tea and drinking water (vegetarian options available)

 Depart: Transfer back to your Hotel in Luang Prabang around 1:00pm
